Learning Log 25

Once again, I am having trouble uploading picture to the blog! I will keep trying to upload but I’ll publish this now just so I don’t miss the deadline.  But, this week was full of snowy days, snow forts, snow boots, Yates Place, Legos, gymnastics, play practice, youth group activities and lots of helping friends.  I am so glad Daniel is enjoying and learning at Yates Place. I do wish they would update us a little more on what they are doing. Sometimes we get updates on Facebook but more often than not we don’t. I do know he’s learning; I love to hear him talk about what he’s doing and learning there! And I know they are hitting all of his subjects and so are we, just more informally.

Learning Log 24 This week was full of love and fun! Yates Place and parties and giving a Valentine to the girl he has a crush on in gymnastics (“I admire your skills” 😂), sending a Valentine to Aunt Bonnie, attending basketball games, carrying on family traditions with our Olivia, building Crunch Labs, and working on earning a go-kart - it’s the last month!

Learning Log #23

Learning Log #23 This week was a fun one! We kicked it off by taking a trip to BYU’s Bean Museum. Daniel loves it there and we haven’t been there since they added the evolution exhibit downstairs. It was pretty awesome! And it was especially fun to hear Daniel spout out facts about these creatures, then google them and find out he was right! He’s still rocking it at Yates Place. I wish they would update the patents more about what the kids are doing there but I know he is covering all the bases there and I love it.  The other big ticket item this week was a trip to Antelope Island! Daniel found a snake skin, saw birds, bison, antelope, and jack rabbits, and got to see what it would have been like to live on a ranch in the 1800’s. Even with the inversion and all the extra traffic from the survivor idol hunters it was a beautiful place and we can’t wait to go back to see if we can add some reptiles to our list!

Learning Log #22

Leaning Log #22 This week was full of bike rides and Yates Place and Lego creations and salamander habitats but for some reason, google won’t let me post pictures of any of it! We are planning to work on Daniel’s career report in February so we’ve been talking to our law enforcement friends to schedule an interview. He’s very much looking forward to that! His performance of The Wizard of Oz is coming up too, at the end of February. So rehearsals are starting to get a little more intense there! That’s our week in a nutshell!
