Learning Log #24

Week #24 Always backwards now, I guess! 🤦🏼‍♀️ It was a great week! We had our last birthday celebrations with a nerf war/capture the flag birthday party! Language arts consisted of writing thank you cards this week. We also had a birthday lunch with Daniel’s birth mom, Mimi. We love her! She taught us about tarantulas molting and anyways shares her animal knowledge with us.  We are adding fractions in math! And Daniel got bumped up to the intermediate class in gymnastics - about time! He also has showtime for Lean on Me in piano next week so he’s been practicing hard! He’s a busy kid, lol. Sometimes I just have to document moments like this because I know they won’t last forever.  Another Brazilian rice and beans week! Daniel’s proficiency with Legos never ceases to amaze me. This is the band, Imagine Dragons. How cool are all those details?!

Week 23 Again with the backwards uploading  🤦🏼‍♀️ But, Daniel had an awesome week! We finished up with his play performances and had a few more friends come to see him. He built his Crunch Lab! Then he turned 11!! And we went to Legoland and SeaWorld with my brother to celebrate. Best week ever! We were able to get all of our subjects in, too, though it may seem like we didn’t have time! But it’s fun how learning can happen anywhere and I love it!   The sign he built in the room he shared with Uncle Noah - it says Daniel, Noah #11 Corner With a thumbs up symbol, a smiley face, and a smiley heart. lol! We bought a Lego chessboard and played Lego chess in our Lego Castle hotel room! We went to SeaWorld and Daniel rode ALL the coasters! And we all wore matching Camp Halfblood T-shirts in honor of the Percy Jackson books we are reading! Polar bear cave More coasters They dangle at the top for a few seconds before going down on this one - Daniel did it in the front row!! We love ...
