Week 11 I don’t take very many pictures this week! But we enjoyed school. Language arts, Yates Place, math, we finished Bridge to Teribithia and moved on to a Wrinkle in Time plus Brian and Daniel are building our HalloweenUFO! So fun.

Learning Log 10 (but I think it’s actually 9 so I’ll start changing the title numbers!)

Week #10  This was such a fun week! Friday was Yates Place which we always love. Then we did some math and language arts at home on Monday and Tuesday and went to the aquarium on Wednesday! Daniel used homeschool bucks he had saved up to purchase the trip. He was in his element!! And it was really fun to hear him tell us all about the Archer Fish and then read the plaque that said the exact same thing! He also bought a dinner at Red Lobster so we tacked that on after the aquarium- the irony was not lost on us! 😂😂 We ended the week with a long overdue trip to the library and Daniel checked out NINE books! All in all, a pretty great week!

Week 9 What a great week! At home we’ve been working on perspective and point of view in language arts, multiple digit multiplication in math, and survivor’s quest. At Yates place, they’ve been making dioramas of ancient Egypt, talking about valences and making atoms, cooking oatmeal, and we are still reading Bridge to Teribitbia both at home and at school. General Conference weekend was amazing and the weather is finally feeling like fall! Daniel and I skipped the home game this week because I was still too dizzy to go but we had fun at home - and we won!

Week 8 This week was crazy! We made it back from Las Vegas safely but the next morning our car wouldn’t drive and had to get towed. But, since I am still dealing with vertigo and can’t drive, it hasn’t affected us quite as badly as it would have. Brian has been picking up a lot of slack for me and I’m so grateful! Daniel explored point of view this week in language arts, prime and composite numbers as well as fractions in math, ancient civilizations in social studies, “can you lick it?” in chemistry (with the periodic table of elements), and we’ve been reading Bridge to Terabithia as well. He got his new Crunch Lab this week and got to make a kaleidoscope! He hunted down a spider in the kitchen for me, lol. He practiced for his very last primary program at church. 🥹 And we re-created a photo we first took in 2015 and again in 2020 and now also in 2025! Too much growing!! 🥹🥹 And speaking of too much growing, look at this measurement!!!! My finger is where my head hits on the wa...
