South Family Homeschool - 6th Grade!

 WEEK 28 Daniel built a Tinker Crate arcade game! He really enjoys building these things - and using them, too! This is a game called “Fish Stix” and Daniel is a rockstar at it! Daniel spent a lot of time outside this week while the weather was good! He played capture the flag with neighborhood kids, explored the creek, and went for walks. He’s eagerly anticipating spring! Daniel has been doing a unit on time and number lines in math. He’s also learning about the Midwest in social studies - we watched “Night of the Twisters” too! He is about to ramp up play rehearsals because his performance is in a week! We are almost done with the last book in our dragon series. And we’re getting ready for a trip to Brazil in a month! Daniel is learning some Portuguese in preparation.

  Week #27 Patch is getting so big! Opening valentines! Snuggling Mel This is a "show piece" from Daniel's piano lessons. He had to practice it over and over again so that he could perform it for his teacher - she was very impressed with him! Daniel was well this week so we got a normal week of school in! His dad and I were both sick so we didn’t get many pictures though, lol. Daniel got through his lessons quickly this week and was able to do a lot of playing outside thanks to some sunny weather! He and his friends have been playing a version of tackle football. 

 Week #27 This week was a sick week! Daniel was down with croup from Sunday to Thursday but we still managed to get a little of every subject in - we love schooling from home! Daniel and his dad building a pinball machine Luckily he was well enough to enjoy the snow by Saturday! This is a Suped Bowl tradition at our house. Super yummy and really fun!

  Learning Log #25 He is loving the unit in ST Math - he’s so good at recognizing how to change and flip the boxes to make it all fit right  Driving to piano with his piano buddy An illusion that Daniel’s dad used to perform - we set it up and Daniel was pretty amazed with it He doesn’t remember but he was pretty amazed by it when he was 3, too! I was pretty bad at taking pictures this week but it was a good week!
